The walk to the pub can be a fair bit of exercise, the walk home afterwards even more so due to the zig-zagging which at least doubles what it would be in a straight line. And a detour to the chippy could well add another couple of hundred yardsplenty excercise in the pub... back and forth to the bog, and round the pool table etc...can do miles in a day
