Thanks for your comments.
To be honest, this was not my first choice. I had originally chosen something entirely different, but after writing a lengthy description, I though I had better check to see if there was a link I could provide so you could listen to my choice. Much to my annoyance, having spent some time on my submission, I found that an audio link was unavailable!
So the Eddie Brickell was a hurried choice made at the last minute. Even so, all the scores are the 5/10 or higher. If you did like 'Shooting Rubber Bands at the Stars', then you might like 'Picture Perfect Morning'.
Cheers

I'm Ian.
I bought the CD after hearing the first single (What I Am) in the late 80s and it's been regularly played ever since. It's not ground-breaking or showy but it's a very pleasant way to spend 40 minutes or so. 7/10

Come on MEMBERS !!! only 11 people have voted on this ????? It's not hard to do and costs nothing
If you do participate it makes the person who posted the album and Mr Album Club all warm and appreciated

The poll closes after 30 days from the start of posting. This is to give all contributors an equal opportunity.
But Al is correct, the more people who vote on a particular Album Club choice, the greater the chance the OP has of winning.

Didn't really do it for me this one. Just not my cup of tea. The single was pretty catchy and ubiquitous I remember. But it didn't get better than that. Good to hear suggestions and what other folks are listening to as always. 5/10

Just missed the poll, sorry.
I must admit this album did not really do anything for me although I recognised some of the tracks.
So would have scored it 6/10.

Ahh I've missed the poll too. I enjoyed the album it well enough and would have given a 7.
Why not just leave the poll open for ever?

To try and revive the Album Club and to encourage interest (for the last couple of years, or so, it had been attracting little interest), we have turned it into a competition. Each Album Club suggestion has a poll which closes after 30 days. At the end of that 30 day period a score is made by adding up the votes. If the poll was left open "for ever", earlier suggestions would have greater opportunity to attract a larger cumulative score than later ones; so giving the poll an equal time open is the fairest way.
This round of the Album Club will finish in August 2020. Then I will have scored all the contributors and the winner will receive a prize (an audiophile pressing of a record of their choice)!
