    Talking Hello from Chilly California

It's supposed to be sunny here, wot? The ethos of the group specifically mentions an affinity for photos, so here goes.

My name is Barnaby - I go by barnz around the interweb and some people in Black Rock City know me as Hoopy. (If you can find BRC on a map you are trying too hard).

I've been a fan of music and sound ever since my parents got and
on Open Reel Tape in the early 70s.

I went on to become more of a fan of and

I studied Film in school (which took me from the midwest to Santa Cruz, CA), focusing on sound, and went into the hifi business (back in the midwest)after I deemed I was finished with Higher Education.

I've been bumping around that world ever since, with occasional sabbaticals into technology (got mildly lucky once, failed big time the next go).

I currently work for an importer/distributor of European hifi products.

My system is primarily vinyl-based, but this year I introduced a Mac Mini and a plasma monitor to the mix and I am working at getting that to be smooth (both operationally and acoustically!)

    I like taking photos....

My latest accomplishment is building a cornhole set

(It's a game where midwesterners throw bags of corn at a hole in a board. For some reason it's actually fun)

I am married, (*she's the one in the white dress) and my wife wants to go to bed now. No more computer for me!

    Welcome Barnz.

Never been to Black rock city, but a very good friend of mine who tap dances and plays the accordion, has been known to visit when not on tour.
Personally, I am quite enjoying this "cool" spring.

    Peace,

    Jim

With a little editing that shot could be a Pink Floyd album cover.

Boy, I miss that lomo camera. Nothing burns the color like a plastic lens!

It's certainly an excellent photo. Do you have a full res image you could send me?
