Have a word with Guy at Puresound.

He sometimes has B stock (you wouldn't know) available.

I'm not convinced they aren't a little too heavy on a standard bearing. I'd want a spare or 3rd party for long term use.

Although they do sound very good, I use mine on SPH bearing.

Mark the Tenuto will work with the standard 301/401 bearing. I use one on both my 301/401.

If you are worried about the weight issue, the new improved SPH bearing is only £175 posted. Ive just bought one and its on route as we speak. Peanuts in hifi terms really .

I've got both 3 and 401. No evidence of damage, and I don't question they work well with Garrard's, just a gut feeling that they're a bit heavy on original bearing. Its almost doubling platter weight, plus they usually come with heavy clamp too.
Trouble is you won't know till its too late. The bearings are up to 60 years old, I'm just cautious.

Thankfully we have alternatives (I've just bought a 2nd SPH bearing) plus the Peak Hi-fi one.
