I think I did some hard work, once, helping a farmer at harvest time. I quickly realised why over the past couple of centuries anyone with any sense moved to the towns and cities where there was less heavy lifting.

Seem to have gone off on another tangent. I drove a Renault Zoe recently, and asked about lead time. Apparently about four months. I also asked about the cost of the battery pack - in case it ever needed to be replaced or repaired. I was told 32k, which is more than the cost of the car - though that's with the discount. Nice car for anyone who wants a small car to run about, though don't expect to get from one end of the country to the other without lots of stops.

It's either appalling or hilarious, depending on how you see it.

I take the latter approach, as you must remember that these are clearly sick, unhappy and deeply disturbed people, suffering from an obvious mental condition [and social inadequates resenting anyone who enjoys life], so some leeway is needed when judging their disturbed behaviour. I know it's cruel to mock the afflicted, but in this case it's difficult not to.

They have so much hate in their hearts. You really have to pity them.

Anyway, Granty, are you still enjoying driving your CHR? It must've made quite a difference for you?

Indeedy on both counts. The hoist in back works a treat too once you get your confidence and not hit the opening at top with it
got it down to a tee now tho. just local work really mostly but its a nice motor to drive. holds the road really well if you push it too.. no rear end wiggleor body roll.

Nice one, mate. Every time I see one on the road, I think it looks cool. I think it's the 'sculpted' shape that appeals, especially in the right colour

Its fairly eyecatching.. Seems to be quite a few up near me now since I got mine. They do a non hybrid as well. Hybrid is better, but its not an electric car, its an electric assist... just helps with polution especially in towns where the battery gets a lot of use, and stretches the economy.. petrol 1800 cc giving 60mpg in a fairly big, heavy vehicle that has a load in and has a lot of extras running most of time is very good. My last 1800 was giving me under 20 for similar mileage style.

Excellent bit of salesmanship Dave - I'm sure Peugeot would pay you good money to go work for Renault

Agree, they do look pretty sharp, and Anita is certainly a fan (as she does most of the driving I generally go with her choices, within reason.)

Toyota and Lexus seem to have a "house style", and it's a look that does appeal to me
