    Thanks Oliver , it's taking a bit of working out but that's part of the fun! I have some spare birch ply and maple veneer so with Mel's very kind help the case won't have cost me anything when finished!

    Also hopefully the maple will look nice when oiled/varnished with the valves exposed, that's my final intention anyway with a bit of luck.

    Had a play with the drill today and starting to see the layout come together the 2 large holea a tge back are for the socket and switch.

    Hack saw blade broke halfway through tidying up yhe hole so had ti stop but it gives an idea.
