Also, do one winging at a time.

If you have the 909 wired right, it should read 9v on either side of the 0 and 18v if you measure the two outers.

Don't have the 165v wired up at all. Just separate the wires and secure them in connector blocks. Does that make sense.

If the 909 is right, you can then measure the 165v

Sounds like you have some sort of short on the 165V winding. Check you have the rectifier diodes the correct way round and also check for shorts with the soldered joints to the ground plane.

Yes Andy. With the 165 voltage being pulled down so much there must be a fault in that area.

Got distrated and doing some case work. But once the switch etc is fitted it will make it easier to test so no loss there . lol
