Managed to drill holes today when a gap in the cloud presented itself. 1 couple of mil out but not too bad !

Checking veneer , Walnut and Maple, bottom shows comparison with bare wood after 3 coats of danish oil.

Thanks , need to route round the holes again and sand down quite pleased considering.

Now with 3 coats of Danish oil on and routed out. Showing the pattern nicely.
