    Well done United.

Their left back (Wan-Bissaka) had the measure of Sterling, to the point that Sterling gave up on trying to go around him.
James turned Angelino inside out repeatedly.
    I could go on.

No excuses - City weren't good enough.
Yeah, I'm disappointed for you, Chris, as that must've been a hard one to take, especially at home. However, from a Liverpool perspective, I'm pleased with the result. It's very hard trying to win every game, especially with a weakened side, with the standard of the opposition you have to face week in, week out...

The consistency you achieved last season, in that respect, was quite remarkable, but I guess the fact is that if Liverpool can go onto emulate the consistency that they achieved last year, which wasn't quite good enough to win the title, this year it will be, and certainly so if they better it.

Yup, reluctant to be too dogmatic with predictions pre Christmas but it would be a brave man who backs against the pool right now.

I'm still putting £20 on Leicester (currently 22/1), so potential winnings of £440, should they do it. Not a bad return for a 'beer voucher'!

Well, if my (English) team Liverpool lose as a result, at least I'll have the consolation of winning some dosh!

Anyway, apparently Celtic won 1-0 today at Hampden... Does no-one want to talk about it or say 'well done'? Come on, guys...

I'm just watching the build up and game now. I very rarely watch these matches live on TV, as it's far too nerve wrecking! Will comment on the game (and result) later.

Lol, cheers... Said through gritted teeth, Robin?

More seriously though, what are your thoughts on the match, who was more up for it, who you thought deserved to win and how it panned out?

Granty must be asleep, or drowning his sorrows in all that booze he's bought!

I also notice that Leicester beat Villa 1-4 away, and that tells me they're not about to give up their challenge yet anytime soon!

You wonder what Brendan Rodgers could be capable of with some REAL money behind him at one of the EPLs biggest clubs?

If you dominate the game, have several excellent chances including a penalty but can’t score even against 10 men. Give away a sloppy goal although it was off side.
The game should have been won by half time, still a long way too go for Rangers. Great performance by the Celtic goalkeeper but at the end of the day the statistic that counts is goals scored.
Not sure where we go from here.

Apologies for quoting and heavily modifying your post, but this is the story of my team's season
