Thumbs up SPL: Celtic 3 Ross County 0

That'll do... Five points clear at the top, so over to Rangers tomorrow at Tynecastle in what for them is a 'must win' match, which I'm sure they will.

Will comment more later once I've watched the game on Celtic TV later tonight!

Poor end to the first half and beginning of the second half for Celtic, with Ross County having spurned three very good chances to score.

Defensively today, we were all over the place, which I guess not having Frimpong or Ajer available would account for. Simunovic and Julien haven't played together much, and it showed, although why Jonny Hayes gets a game ahead of Greg Taylor I've no idea, and the former was guilty of quite few misplaced passes that could've let to us losing a goal.

Also, I'd have probably played the same team as beat Killie, midweek, with both Griffiths and Edouard upfront, but somehow Eddie was left on the bench and Griffo used as a lone striker. It didn't really work, which is why big Eddie came on as substitute, scored two great goals and won the match for us. Since returning from the winter break though, we've yet to hit top gear, but crucially are still winning games and picking up the three points.

Rangers have been doing the same, although in a somewhat less emphatic manner, which they'll need to improve upon today I feel if they're to take all three points away from Tynecastle, against an improved Hearts side who have their 'big guns' back. I think it'll be a close game, but Rangers will have enough to win it.

Match prediction: Hearts 1 Rangers 2.

    Granty and Robin, any views?

Not watched any footy for an age.
Lost interest really bar the dev squads. Developing talent is where it is at now, or should be for the top team.

Lol... Lost interest - why? Your team's right in the middle of a battle for the title, which if they won, would be monumental! So why the apathy?

Were you as apathetic when Rangers went to Celtic Park before the winter break and won 2-1?

yup, i was tbh.. Overall I think the first 11's are fairly close to each other, but Celtic have better depth so are favs still. Favs don't always win of course
Hearts have high hopes today of winning and Tynecastle is a difficult ground, plus we are short of a few and not back to playing as well as before break.. It wouldnt surprise me if it were a draw tbh, but we are starting to win these draws now so maybe we will nick it

Fair enough, but I still think you've got good reasons to be more optimistic!

Just sitting down to watch the Rangers game. Will be interesting seeing how Hearts play now with having the likes of Souttar and Naismith back in their ranks and new signing, Boyce, up front, plus with Stendel having had some time now to assess his squad and implement his tactical system.
