They've been all over City, and it could've easily been more. Utd are clearly more up for it so far, and you have to ask yourself why...?

For me, City will have to make a big comeback and win this match [it's a *must*], if they've got any hope whatsoever of winning the title this season, as Liverpool would NOT throw away a 14-point lead, or for that matter a 12-point one, should City come back to draw...

Still same score so a comeback is going to have to be a late one.
Can't say I'm unhappy although surprised.
Stats are all city bar shots on target.

Default Man City 1 Man Utd 2

Well, there you go.... I know there are loads of games still left to play, but for me, unless a significant percentage of Liverpool's key players suffer leg breaks, or the team receives another blow close to the seriousness of that, the title race (between them and City) is over. Who knows, Leicester may yet mount more of a challenge? I'll be looking out for their result against Villa tomorrow!

But yes, Utd blew a rather lacklustre looking City away in the first 30 mins, then lost their way/couldn't keep up their high-tempo/were pushed back by City, once they woke up [delete as appropriate, in terms of how you saw it] and spent most of the reminder of the match defending their lead. City deserved their late goal, based on largely their second-half dominance, but never really looked like equalising, let alone coming back to win.

That's the first time I've watched Man City this season, over a full 90 mins, and to me they currently look like a team who know they've blown the title and can't catch Liverpool, as the type of real urgency, grit and never-say-die attitude Liverpool have shown this season in games they're struggled to win, but someone found a way to do so, simply wasn't there from City. They certainly have their injury problems, and that's undoubtedly having an impact, but unless Pep can get their 'heads right' and focussed on the job in hand, particularly when his big guns come back, it wouldn't surprise me if Leicester [barring any injury to Vardy] finished ahead of them this season.

Are United now 'back'? Well, we'll see, but based on their recent results, especially tonight and midweek against Spurs, you could make a good case for it. In big derbies like this, it's almost always the team who 'want it' more who win, and tonight that was definitely Utd. For me though, regardless if they're 'back' or not yet, the Utd board have to show as much patience with Solskjśr, as Liverpool have with Klopp (in terms of the league), as in time doing so could pay similar dividends!

Leicester are going well and it wont surprise me if they can get 2nd.
City defence seems as frail as ever when pushed.
Utd are still a long way off where the players they have should be Imo. Is the manager the right man.. Im not sure.
    Giggs would maybe be better.
Chelsea seem to have skidded off the Rd as they are cleared to buy, and i think the 2 may be connected. Spurs won well today and Jose will get an initial improvement from good teams but he has flaws that usually cause team friction. Not sure he will last his contract.
If Arsenal get right man they can do top 4

Good performance from United although I’m not why Lingard is in the side. Great display of counter attacking football.

Yup... On another note guys, what do you make of old 'Drunken Duncan' now becoming manager of Everton? I didn't even know he was in football management! I wonder if he'll be introducing homing pigeons into the training?
