    Just my opinion
unless it snows! most bake-offs are oversubscribed (often with a subs bench) and really no outlay / risk

    Oversubscribed and under attended.

Expect half the number that "confirm" as loads drop out nearer the time.

I've been to few matey and there's always an enthusiastic "oh, I'm well up for that" looking like you have 40 people and they'll be queuing outside. By the time it comes round a number of factors just prevent people coming.

As soon as the date is announced 25% will drop off.

Sun is blazing: That's another load that won't come and don't say so.

Last minute issues too, cars breakdown etc.

It's just a fact of get together in general, not specific to bake offs, but I've seen it happen on multiple occasions.

I'm glad its taking time to sort.
It means I might get the speakers finished in time.
Got the cabinets built, the veneer arrives tomorrow. Hide glue on Friday.

I'll bow to your greater experience as I've probably been to only just over 30 now over the last 5 years or so, the last one was in blazing sunshine and as far as I know, nobody dropped out.

You must be right, as you've been to so many in a short space of time. I'm glad you're here to advise.

Cabinets look very good Ken. Have you considered veneering or laminating the interior faces to provide an extra contrained layer?

It would be nice if folk could be civil to each other. I think we all could do without the snide remarks too!

I was looking forward to this Bake-off but the attitude of some people on here really piss me off!
