Well, I thought at least one of these may have turned up! I guess there's not that much vintage stuff in the hands of members here. That or they're hanging on to them!

Oh, here's another one I'm looking for. Pioneer's SD-1000 or SD-1100 Stereo Display unit.

I'm a big fan of my Sony STR 6055 receiver, it's also so convenient to use, having a tuner to leave the system warming up and phono stage and auxiliary input from a Dac. Which receiver in your opinion and one that you already have is the best. Obviously you won't want to tell me it's one your looking for in case I snagged one.

Sansui 9090 or Pioneer SX-1250. Great to hear that you use and appreciate a nice vintage receiver.

very under rated IMO. I've done the valve amp thing with most types of valves, px25, 300B, 2A3, 6C33C, etc, they just DONT control bass like solid state.

Agree totally about control of bass. But I don't think the Sansui 9090 or Pioneer SX-1250 are underrated by any stretch of imagination, on the contrary there is reams of stuff on the internet singing the praises of these two icons of the 70s monster receivers battle.
