I recall as a small boy, my Grandfather always wore a hat. When he was going out to visit the liquor store, Grandma would ask him, “Where ya goin’?”, to which he’d replay, “I’m going out to get my hat boxed”.
Are there still places one can go to get their hat boxed? (I don’t mean a liquor store)

Hats have been used a lot over the years in Soaps for some reason, probably helps to define their character or make their appearance more memorable.
Examples: Minnie Caldwell, Ena Sharples, Hilda Ogden, Seth Armstrong, Zac Dingle, Thora Birch. And Benny! Oh dear, I know more about this than is good for me
