    I briefly owned a pair something like 15 years ago.
    Astonishingly flat freq response through the broad midrange. Could have been drawn with a ruler!
    Dynamically, they rather killed the excitement of the music, though.

    I owned a pair of the very similar Studio 1 (which are sonically almost identical to the Export Monitor which I have also heard). Treble is detailed without being overly prominent, the bass is slightly tubby. Midrange is lovely with the characteristic BBC richness. They are rather measured in delivery, being a little slow, the heavy cone doesn't help. They are fantastic for vocals and acoustic material but not well suited to rock or dance. But I can't think of a better speaker for listening to BBC 4!

    Hi, my rogers export monitors have a cloth fitted on the inside of the grille covering the whole area, i am not sure if this is standard, or if the previous owner fitted it, any help please, regards, peter
