    Default Hello children everywhere....

Hi all. I've been a member of The Wam for about 10 years and thought it was about time to spread the love. Not much of a box swapper, unless it's a charity shop/ bootsale/ ebay cast iron bargain, which are getting kinda rare! Current modest system is: Arcam A19, Rega Planar 3, Marantz cd17 KI sig,Google chromecast plugged into dacmagic 100 and a vintage pair of Systym 935 standmounts. I know people in the Trade, so I've had some good deals over the years, plus some great used buys from the lads at Billy Vee, my local hi fi dealer. My musical taste is very broad, but current faves are: Grizzly Bear, Cat Power, Feist, The Decemberists, much alt country.... could go on and on! I've been in bands off and on for about forty years, so I hope that I know what sounds good/ real, but probably not. Have been a singer/ guitarist, currently a bass player. My hearing is not what it was- loss in the speech band, which means that clear vocals are a must. oh, my real name is in fact Neds to all my friends, but Ian on the birth certificate. There, I think that'll do for now. Looking forward to much audio banter!

    Welcome to AoS Ned.

You are indeed fortunate to be able to play an instrument. As a child the only thing I played on was the linoleum. (Sorry - an ancient joke which belies my age!)

    Enjoy the Forum

Wow, you got to play on the linoleum! You must have been bought up in a posh home. I had to play on the bare concrete floor of the scullery.

Bare concrete floor of the scullery? Oh my god, we DREAMED of sleeping on the bare concrete floor of the scullery! Actually, I don't even know what a scullery is but it sounds amazing! (Aplogies Neds - thread drift is part of AoS I'm afraid! )

    Hello Neds. Welcome to AOS.

Getting a bit deaf are you? You're not the only one, I think many of us are a bit challenged in that area .

Join in the fun and chat with everybody, it's a friendly place.

    Enjoy the forum,
    Geoff.
It is impossible for anything digital to sound analogue, because it isn't analogue!

ou might slip, you might slide, you might
Stumble and fall by the road side
But don't you ever let nobody drag your spirit down
Remember you're walking up to heaven

Don't let nobody turn you around
… Walk with the rich, walk with the poor
Learn from everyone, that's what life is for
And don't you let nobody drag your spirit down
