    Your go.

(Actually I just complain about political correctness. It doesn't have to have gone mad before I start complaining).

I wasn't complaining, merely observing. I haven't watched a single second of the women's footy. It just seems wrong to me.

I have no idea for sure obviously, but I imagine that the women out there playing football to win a world cup do so purely because they love the game, and want to be the best in the world at it. It's the self obsessed, agenda riddled activists, campaigners and political commentators (gender/sexuality or otherwise) that hold it aloft as a placard at their self imposed protest that twist it into something else.

The fact that I have pretty much done the same on this thread is not lost on me, but I would hope that degrees of moderation still count for something.

What exactly is "wrong" about it, in your opinion? Just curious... Do you think they should be standing in front of a kitchen sink instead, or maybe playing netball?

I don't see anything wrong about it whatsoever; in fact, IMO, the football they've played in this World Cup has been a breath of fresh air, in many ways, compared with that often produced by their male counterparts.

That's pretty much what I was trying to say although you've put it a lot better.

Its an interesting one though because Im not sure you could break that down with good reasoning. If a women wants to play football who would really stop her.

Do you think they are the fairer sex with a delicate anatomy...need to be protected and looked after...kept away from the rough and tumble of a mans world....there just to look after their man and bear children?

None of that would add up because these women are athletic and should be allowed to make their own choices. Ive never had relationships with women who are shrinking violets

Women's traditional games like hockey etc are downright violent.
I don't think it's that, just because it was mostly a man's game professionally anyway.
I'm not against it but have no interest in it

I don't mean morally wrong, or anything. My two never showed any interest in any sport, whether 'traditional' womens' sports like hockey or netball, or football or rugby or cricket, but I wouldn't have tried to stop them playing if they had wanted to. I'm just old-fashioned. I'm still not used to the idea of footballers carrying adverts on their shirts, or cricketers playing in anything other than all-white gear.
