    I have been using a smaller yulong dac for about ten years. Optical, coaxial and usb in. Seen some of the later bigger more expensive units for sale but haven't felt the need to part with my money.
    Bakoon 13r Denon DP80 Stax UA-70 Shure Ultra 500 in a Martin Bastin body with jico stylus, project ds2 digital Rullit aero 8 field coils in tqwt speakers

    Office system, DIY CSS fullrange speakers with aurum cantus G2 ribbons yulong dac Sony STR6055 receiver Jvc QL-A51 direct drive turntable, Leema sub. JVC Z4S cart is in the house

    Garage system another Sony receiver, cassette deck

    Yes, the same sort of effect with the 2 amps I have also used 'spring loaded' .... an increase in vividness, you-are-thereness.
    Most noticeable with the Krell amp, I think, but also worthwhile with the Crayon amp and Yulong DAC.

    And your UNfunny choice is.....?
    There are hundreds (if not thousands) of speaker makes available. Plus Jerry has had more experience than many in sampling choices.
    (WE both have 'funny' speakers completely at odds with each other, but sound great-which is, after all, the function of speakers!)
