Hi Greg and welcome to AoS. The nearest I've ever come to Bose 901's was a pair of the "trumpet" stands I picked up years ago in a second-hand shop - now long since gone, loved the 70's look of them. Hope you enjoy the forum.

    Hi Greg,

It's neither, the body is a modified Westfield, the rest was designed and built by me with help from my two sons, oh and 3 rivets by my wife.

It's powered by a 2 litre Zetec blueprinted by me.

    Good fun

    Welcome to AOS Greg,

I remember in the 70's/80's there being adverts in the hifi press for the Bose 901 with the number turned upside down, so that it said 106. With a little dB stuck on the end. To illustrate the sound levels you could obtain
I just dropped in, to see what condition my condition was in

T/T: Inspire Monarch, X200 tonearm, Ortofon Quintet Blue. Phono: Project Tube Box CD: Marantz CD6006 (UK Edition); Amp: Musical Fidelity A5 Integrated.
Speakers: Zu Omen Def, REL T9i subwoofer. Cables: Atlas Equator interconnects, Atlas Hyper 3.0 speaker cables

    T'other system:
Echo Dot, Amptastic Mini One,Arcam A75 integrated, Celestion 5's, BK XLS-200 DF

    A/V:
LG 55" OLED, Panasonic Blu Ray, Sony a/v amp, MA Radius speakers, REL Storm sub

Forget the past, it's gone. And don't worry about the future, it doesn't exist. There is only NOW.
