My old man was a 'domestic engineer' his entire working life.
To get them out he'd put washing up liquid under the front feet and wiggle it forwards.
Then it would go onto a sack truck with a piece of cardboard shoved up to the wheels.
He'd do the job then after he left he'd sometimes get a call from the office saying he'd damaged something or other getting the appliance out (he knew he hadn't and nothing was said to him at the time) In the end he'd say to the customer you get it out and I'll fix it. If they couldn't or wouldn't he walked straight out the door.
