    Default Hello all,

    Hi all,
    I’m Gareth - I enjoy listening to music of all genres, from baroque to drum&bass and most things in between; although “the wiggles” is featuring particularly heavily at the moment (I do have a three year old son!)
    In a former life I did some studio work, a music degree and played in several bands (giving myself tinnitus in the process!) but of late am more of an “instrument owner” than musician...
    Having abandoned a half-decent surround system a few years ago (in the interests of domestic harmony!) I’ve now just got a modest stereo that has been acquired in drips and drabs over the last 25 years or so.
    My main system is a goldring L75 (currently sporting an ortofon vms), an original pro-ject phonobox and an airport express feeding the NAD 310 that I bought with my first proper pay packet. My speakers are B&O Beovox5000 panels and for quiet listening it’s fostex t50rp headphones via a musical fidelity x-cans (from the tape loop)
    I’ve got a few other conveniently named airport expresses (expressi?) connected to old iPod docks, etc to support AirPlay 2 streaming across the house.
    Thank you for having me!

    Welcome to AoS Gaz! Looks like it's all about the music for you and that's great. Playing with the gear is fun though! Enjoy the forum.

    Thanks Alex,
    You’re right - so long as the music sounds like it’s supposed to when I’m “listening properly” then I’m happy.
    Re: gear, I do need to come up with a more elegant way of getting the 1TB iTunes library through the stereo than “mini jack” so that’ll be on the cards soon!

    Thanks all for the warm welcome,
    @Puffin - did I mention I have a toddler? The timing coincides!
