Reved up the air conditioning properly for the first time today. It's a very comfortable 22 degrees in here. Mia the cat likes it and has been lounging around in front of it most of the day.

Bless her, she looks very comfortable..

I've got an air con unit similar to your's but haven't used it yet as I'm ok with the heat at the moment...

Means I can wear next to nothing around the house which I love...

I have a malfunctioning thyroid and among the many issues this throws up I can't regulate my body temperature properly. When we had the hot weather last year it made me quite ill so I decided to bite the bullet and buy the air con unit.

So sorry to hear that Ian... that doesn't sound very nice for you at all..

The portable air con was a godsend last year as that was just a bit too much even for me..

We were treated to a very spectacular Thunder & Lightning display between the early hours of 1am & 4am out here in the North Sea.

    Something else.

Oh my god! There's nothing wrong with the bidet is there?

“Nothing discloses real character like the use of power. It is easy for the weak to be gentle. Most people can bear adversity. But if you wish to know what a man really is, give him power. This is the supreme test. It is the glory of Lincoln that, having almost absolute power, he never abused it, except on the side of mercy".

“You see these dictators on their pedestals, surrounded by the bayonets of their soldiers and the truncheons of their police ... yet in their hearts there is unspoken fear. They are afraid of words and thoughts: words spoken abroad, thoughts stirring at home -- all the more powerful because forbidden -- terrify them. A little mouse of thought appears in the room, and even the mightiest potentates are thrown into panic.”

"You don't have free will. You have the appearance of free will.”

“There's a war out there, old friend. A world war. And it's not about who's got the most bullets. It's about who controls the information. What we see and hear, how we work, what we think... it's all about the information!”

Must be an up north thing (no evidence of thunder either), because we've had glorious sunshine since 7am, but it's rather windy at the moment. Don't mind that, though. Currently 22C, which is just nice
