    Default amp recommendation needed

    Good day,

I was wondering if you can provide me with recommendadion of an amp ( rather budget friendly) to match my speakers which are http://www.visaton.de/en/products/2-way-speakers/alto-i 4ohmand 83db efficient. I was planning on buying either allo's volt +d or NEW2018 Indeed Audiophile Class D TDA7498E MKII 160WX2 but i do not know if these are good options for me.
Im concerned about buying an amp which is capable of driving my speakers

    Kind regards,
    KK

Your speakers are an easy load I reckon pretty much any amp will drive them without issues.

They are low sensitivity though so depending on how big your room is and how far away you sit from them you might need power/watts. If you can find one I'd try and get Denon PMA 250 or 350, the original version with the white lettering.

If you want to buy new Cambridge Audio are a fairly safe bet and not expensive.
    Current Lash Up:

    TEAC VRDS 701T > Sony TAE1000ESD > Krell KSA50S > JM Labs Focal Electra 926.

    Hi everyone,
Thank you for your replies. My budget is 350 bucks.
I am tempted to choose a d class amp, since now i am using arcam 290 delta and denon pma 757 which is good but I would prefer sth more analogue sounding.
I' ve read lots of good opinions on volt+ d monoblocks amp but its rated 60 W and I dont konw if this will be enough.

    Regards,

    Hi Kacper,

here's my suggestion. It's Class D - can run all day long without issue, drive fairly inefficient speakers and sounds absolutely marvelous.

I've got two of them and they see off some very expensive kit.

Only downside is they only have 1 line input but it does have a USB input to an inbuilt DAC. It's not the greatest DAC in the world but for the price can't really complain.

It also sounds very good with an additional pre-amp which can have more inputs too.

The guy who sells them (Garry) is also a top guy and will answer any questions you have usually pretty quickly.

    Hi Kacper,

I did actually try two units powering L&R channels but the quality increase was not significant. Maybe with more demanding speakers in a larger listening environment it may have yielded even better results but to be honest the little thing sounds so good on its own I just went back to using one.

I don't like over-hyping stuff but its the biggest bargain in hifi as far as I'm concerned - I also don't always put much faith in the reviews but they are pretty much universally in agreement.

    Cheers,

    Chris
