Default Enjoying myself with a few models

Following on from recently building a model of HMS Belfast which I really enjoyed doing I've been revisiting kit building. After music, motorbikes took up much of my younger days. I've not had a bike for a few years now due to poor health but they still do " it " for me. I've managed to find kits for some of the bikes I've had in the past so set to work on them. So far I've made a Suzuki 1100 Katana, Honda CB750F, Honda CB400Four, Yamaha XJR1300, Honda CB900F and a Yamaha RD350LC. Actually I never owned an LC but it was a bike I just never got round to.

Awesome work there Ian! I've always hankered after a CB400 as it was one of my favourite Matchbox models as a kid! And an 1100 Katana - sweet! Love how you've done the reg plates too - top job fella!

Had one. Pleasant enough, but rather overrated.

I really like my one, great on a country lane but lacking any real grunt. Talking of grunt the XJR 1300 was fantastic, Brunnelian gobs of power. I still have a soft spot for the old CB900F, not very refined but terrific fun. It was described in a magazine once as an ugly, heavy dangerous brute, a cheap way of going very fast.....sounds about right

By the subject line I thought we were going to be chatting about something else.. my mistake

Those little bikes look awesome.. I only once made up a bike model, a BMW K Series, the real thing was owned by Colin. I rode it once and thought it was rubbish but the model was quite nice..

My favourite bike was the Honda Hornet, I had two of them at different times and they were a hoot... for 'character' though it had to be the Moto Guzzi...

The Hornet is a brilliant bike, both the 600 and it's big brother with the Fireblade engine. Never fancied a K BMW, I had a R100RS for a while which was as you'd expect supremely comfortable and a capable mile muncher but it just felt a bit soulless. My real love is a revy two stroke but they are getting thin on the ground now, even if you find a decent 350LC it's going to set you back at least £4000. You can buy a lot of records for that.

My Hornet was the 600 and it was quite brisk enough for my needs

I don't like any of the BMW's to be honest, comfortable yes, mile muncher as you say...yes... but so boring I reckon...

I'd quite like to try the old Honda NS400R two stroke as they are supposed to be really fun and they are small enough for my short leggies...

I'm not into Harleys at all but the Street 750 looks quite nice with a low seat height which I need:
