Aside from your first two points the rest are either just speculation or opinion. Which was the point I was making. Both sides got to do that. Then we had a vote. No new relevant information has come to light since that happened. Give it 20 years outside the EU then ask people to vote again, once there is some track record to go on. Making people vote again for the sole reason that they didn't vote how you wanted them to the first time is something that happens in banana republics. And the EU. Not here.

An excellent summary of the situation Grant. I'd add another reason for the referendum vote. A lot of folk couldn't stand the snooty, smug utterings of Osborne and Cameron and preferred to vote against them. I've never understood why so many regions, Cornwall, Wales and the North voted leave when they have been some of the biggest recipients of EU money. As for the turkeys in Sunderland voting for Christmas where the biggest employer is Nissan, it beggars belief.

“Nothing discloses real character like the use of power. It is easy for the weak to be gentle. Most people can bear adversity. But if you wish to know what a man really is, give him power. This is the supreme test. It is the glory of Lincoln that, having almost absolute power, he never abused it, except on the side of mercy".

“You see these dictators on their pedestals, surrounded by the bayonets of their soldiers and the truncheons of their police ... yet in their hearts there is unspoken fear. They are afraid of words and thoughts: words spoken abroad, thoughts stirring at home -- all the more powerful because forbidden -- terrify them. A little mouse of thought appears in the room, and even the mightiest potentates are thrown into panic.”

"You don't have free will. You have the appearance of free will.”

“There's a war out there, old friend. A world war. And it's not about who's got the most bullets. It's about who controls the information. What we see and hear, how we work, what we think... it's all about the information!”

I'm in favour of Brexit, yes. The vote went the right way it doesn't concern me why people voted how they did. I'm not 'right wing.' I have no interest in childish political ideologies of any type.

Well, I guess it serves a useful purpose, in terms of providing folk with an opportunity to reassess matters, after all the corruption, vote rigging, lies and broken promises have been revealed, and change their vote accordingly next time, to reflect that.

    So there's another reason

Lol - you can keep on repeating that as much as you like, but it neither devalues nor discredits what I wrote, one jot.
