    I've done one for you. But learning to insert images is not difficult.

    It is impossible for anything digital to sound analogue, because it isn't analogue!

    Can someone just remind me of the maths here.... am I correct to think that a 1:10 ratio will result in a 1:100 step down in impedance presented to the cartridge - so 470 ohms for a normal 47k ohms phono stage? How many dB gain will result?

    Yes your figures are right Alan, and there will be 20db gain from the SUT. Your cart output will be multiplied by a factor of 10.
