Question No sent PMs in my sent folder????

Hi there, hope somebody can help........

I recently responded to a number of PMs but didn't hear back from the senders.

I looked in my sent folder and could only find PMs that I had sent to moderators ( presumably a default setting? )

I had ticked the 'Save a copy of this message in your Sent Items folder' but have yet to find the save changes button to make that change permanent.

Is it possible that the forum appears differently with certain platforms/browsers? I'm using Windows Seven Home Premium Service Pack 1 and Google Chrome Version 74.0.3729.131 (Official Build) (64-bit ) more likely operator error on my behalf!!

Can somebody point me in the right direction please.

    Many thanks,

    Ray

And at least in one respect I was correct - it was operator error............

To have your sent PMs appear in your sent folder you must go to 'My messages' then below it 'My settings' then to

    Sent Private Messages:
    # Save a copy of sent messages in my Sent Items folder by default
Don't save a copy of sent messages

You then need to tick Save a copy of sent messages in my Sent Items folder by default

What I had been doing was ticking the box that comes up ( Additional Options ) when you send a PM - see below

    Additional Options
    Miscellaneous Options:
Request a read receipt for this message
Allows you to see when the message is read by its recipients.

Save a copy of this message in your Sent Items folder.
Stores a copy of the message you send in the 'Sent Items' folder.

Hope this may be of help to somebody else.

    Kind rgds,

    Ray
