    Default Hello to all..

Hi, am just saying hello as required by the forum. Have been interested in hifi and music since I was 5 years old (am 48 now).. I only use headphones currently as moved to a house with cats and they & hifi (especially big speakers) definitely don't mix whereas I can pop the phones out of the way into a drawer when finished with.

My music taste varies like most people but am a big fan of prog rock, classical, film music (especially Hans Zimmer), female vocal.. Anything decent really except modern chart stuff

Current equipment list is very modest, I previously owned a nice set of Sennheiser HD800 S headphones and a Mcintosh MHA100 headphone amp but now have only the following:

Dell all in 1 Pc & Sony phone as source (using cd's saved as flac.)
Weiljang Audio psu (cheapy from ebay made in China but very impressed with)
Audio Engine B1 Bluetooth receiver (using aptx hd)
    Beresford Caiman SEG dac
    Myryad Z40 headphone amp
Grado SR325e headphones with various mods as I was bored one day

    That's it..

    Richard

    Enjoy the forum,

It is impossible for anything digital to sound analogue, because it isn't analogue!

If you don't mind me asking, why did you downgrade your headphones? I'm doing it in my hifi, but have upgraded my headphone system in return.

Hi, I just wasn't using them enough to justify the cost. Regret selling them now as use phones all the time, the much cheaper Grados I use are very impressive for the price...
