But I just had to have another Voyd, looking forward to it though I think the psu will probably need a service, I intend to mount my SME 309 on it and see how it goes.
That leaves me with two technics decks, one of which will probably have to go.
Thanks, I am enjoying listening to music with it very much, it all just sounds just right. Nothing pushy or over-emphasised just detailed, open with great bass and mid-range, just as I was told it would be. So I am very pleased.

I think it was quite common to use SME 309's on them, so should be OK. If you need an arm board Steve at Magna Audio can help, he is on AoS.Let me know how you get on and find yours.

Fortunately it already has an SME armboard fitted, I will keep you updated as to how I get on with it, really looking forward to seeing and hearing it now.

I have had several Voyd turntables the first one around 1988, they are superb in the way they do many things. I have also owned around three reference Voyd's, i have used several arms with the voyd turntables inc Graham Phantoms, sme series V,s fidelity research fr64 and the various helius tonearms also a modified saec 407/23. I liked the saec quite alot did not really like the Phantom on the Voyd, the sme V rewired did sound good with my Audio note io ltd, recently I heard a friends Voyd 0.5 with a Sme V and Lfd Vipor arm lead with a etsuro Cobolt cartridge sound superb it was very open with a deep wide soundstage with a great deal of solidity in the bass highly musical combination for sensible money in my opinion.

It seemed to be straight forward enough, Kevin Scott of Definitive Audio fitted it and set it up.
It had an Aluminium construction where as my current 309 is magnesium.

I should add that I was using a cartridge man music maker mk1 at the time, never used a moving coil cartridge with my previous Voyd.
So this time round it will be interesting.

In my opinion the aluminium 309, 310 and 312 were much nicer than the magnesium versions, I once heard a prototype aluminium series V it was sublime.

I've heard others say that, but I have to say that the magnesium 309 has been excellent on the Technics, I will see what it's like on the Voyd, I may decide to try something else, was looking at Audionote arms and origin live but that can wait.

In my view the best version of that arm, but others mileage has varied.
