I suffered from sunstroke once whilst trekking in Mauritania. A combination of direct sun and becoming dehydrated. I became delirious and started talking nonsense (so no change there!).
Tipped a litre bottle of water over my head, had a 20 minute nap in the shade and I was then right as rain.

I almost got it on a catamaran in the Caribbean but I noticed it coming on and got in the shade right away and got a pint of water in me. I've seen people get it bad and you really don't want it.
