Cloudy and a bit chilly. Went out to get breakfast and saw a squirrel. That's a first for round here. Might be some kind of animal gentrification happening with the rats moving to other areas.

A colleague lives a few miles away in suburbia and has two foxes as regular visitors. She has footage of them on her CCTV. She's been feeding them on bacon fat, steak, chicken tikka and Mr Kipling bramley apple pies. The apple pies went down well. One of the foxes is like a barrel already.

    Well fed foxes!

We're going over to your hometown today, to the Picturehouse at FACT, to see the Aretha Franklin documentary:https://www.picturehouses.com/cinema.../amazing-grace

Will probably pop in for a pint of local real ale (Del will have something else of course, as she doesn't drink beer) at one of our favourite traditional Liverpool pubs, which I've mentioned before: https://www.roscoehead.co.uk/

Then over to Chinatown, to one of our favourite very authentic, but also very basic, Chinese restaurants, Ma Bo: https://www.google.com/maps/uv?hl=en...JC2X1R-Hugef_Y

It's essentially a woman's house, and she opens up her kitchen to customers! Check out the Char Siu Wonton Noodle Soup: https://www.facebook.com/maboliverpo...type=3&theater

    Awesome stuff!

Then, weather permitting, we'll probably take a walk down to the docks, do a bit of shopping, and on the way back, pop into Matta's, to top up on our Asian food supplies: https://www.mattas.co.uk/

Most authentic and cheapest place to buy any type of Asian or Far Eastern ingredients, for making curries, etc! Should be a good day out

Sounds good, never been in that pub though. I used to look forward to going up there because you could get a good pint of Higsons but that's long gone now. My favourite bitter that was.

Yes, across the road from the Albert Dock.

Never been in there myself, keep meaning to. It was a very rough house when I lived there. Even my uncle Rod warned me never to go in. But all different now, they've got a micro-brewery in the cellar and so forth.

    Foxy Lady!

Just a colleague then? Is she fit? Is she single? Has she ever heard of Krell? Would she be up for a KSA50S/Mr Kipling evening? No harm in asking

Just back and had a great day! Weather was good too, nice and sunny and it got up to 18°C. The Aretha film was great, and the Picturehouse at FACT is a cool place. There's a nice bar just below the screens themselves, and you can take a beer, or even a bottle of wine and a couple of glasses up, as one couple did, to enjoy with the film

Chinese meal was superb... Couldn't finish it all, so got a doggy bag to take home, so am just enjoying the rest now
