    Congratulations, Wayne!
You have a very rare Pioneer kit, made only for Japan market.
From this serie I have only the CD player - P-D1.
Could you post more pictures of your beauties?

Have just listened to Innervisions twice in a row with the H-Z1 doing the MC step up into the C-Z1 phono input... let’s just say I’m sat grinning and quite pleased!

I need to do a bit more reorganisation and then I’ll take a few new system photos.

“Nothing discloses real character like the use of power. It is easy for the weak to be gentle. Most people can bear adversity. But if you wish to know what a man really is, give him power. This is the supreme test. It is the glory of Lincoln that, having almost absolute power, he never abused it, except on the side of mercy".

“You see these dictators on their pedestals, surrounded by the bayonets of their soldiers and the truncheons of their police ... yet in their hearts there is unspoken fear. They are afraid of words and thoughts: words spoken abroad, thoughts stirring at home -- all the more powerful because forbidden -- terrify them. A little mouse of thought appears in the room, and even the mightiest potentates are thrown into panic.”

"You don't have free will. You have the appearance of free will.”

“There's a war out there, old friend. A world war. And it's not about who's got the most bullets. It's about who controls the information. What we see and hear, how we work, what we think... it's all about the information!”

I’m quite pleased with it, as I managed to get it off an auction in Japan for half of what one recently went for from one of the English language friendly Japanese hifi dealers.

It sounds just fab, the Graaf 13.5b2 it replaces is no slouch and one of my all time fave preamps, but that is utterly made redundant by this and will be surplus to requirements.

To my ears it’s up there with the very best preamps I’ve heard in my system, including an Allnic which is about 10x what I got the Pioneer for.
