Well I certainly am just that... honest....
You asked for it so here we go..:
For years I never wore a seat belt, don't ask, I've been a bit of a rebel in my time I guess... I wear one now...
Those lovely cop peeps were always pulling me over for no seat belt as if they've got nothing else better to do... round here, and probably elsewhere, if you have someone break into your home they don't want to know but pulling someone over for not wearing a seat belt is just too easy point scoring for them... like I said don't get me going on it
Now.... I belonged to a particular boat club and there was a chap that used to use the club car park who visited the pub across the road every single evening and everytime I saw him try to get back into his car after a few bevvies (oh that's me!!) he just couldn't manage it... I have never seen such a paralytic person attempting to get back into a car to drive home... seriously he could hardly stand up let alone find the car door key hole.... to me it was like a loaded gun just waiting for somebody to be badly injured, or killed, by this guy....it really was that bad...
I'm not one for 'reporting' stuff to the police but I thought it my duty to report this guy to them, so I did on numerous occasions... but everyday I continued to see him climb into his car totally loaded and definitely not capable of driving at all let alone safely..
So on one of my frequent seat belt 'pull overs' the said cop couldn't work out why I was so rude to him.... I'm not a rude person at all, only with these peeps... so after pointing out to him that while he'd pulled me over 'why doesn't he just check my tyre condition' that way it'd make it worth his while pulling me up... they'd score a few extra points that way.... as I'm sure a couple of my tyres probably wouldn't pass inspection at the time...
My answer to him about my rudeness to him was to explain that I'd reported this guy many many times and they did nothing about it.... useless... now this is the bit that I don't expect you to believe... his answer to me, and I quote..."the next time you see this guy as drunk as a skunk getting into his car... follow him and call us while you are tailing him and we will "intervene".... so they wanted me to do their job for them.... I kindly pointed out that I didn't have a 'hands free' mobile at that time and they'd probably pull me over again for using my mobile while driving...
Seriously you couldn't make it up could you ?
I've had one other 'experience' of the lovely cops and that involved Colin having £1K fraudulently removed from his bank account and, again they were totally useless... I could explain but I'm going off to cool off now....
