    I'm Adam.

Default Nigel's Speed controller for a 401 - build service?

I have an unpopulated board thingy and chip thingy to make up Nigel's Speed controller for a Garrard 401, but if I touched a soldering iron I'd burn the house down.

I have NO experience soldering or electrical tinkering...

So does anyone offer an affordable build service for such a thing?
Obviously want to avoid it costing as much as a commercial off the shelf solution.
Or is it all just too much of a faff?

Please don't persuade me to have a bash myself....I know my limitations, & boy am I limited!

    Thoughts appreciated chaps.

    picture of board thingy..

I can populate that for you at mates rates.

(It is not that difficult, you really should have some practice at soldering - get someone to show you how)

Have a bash. Not necessarily on this board, but soldering is easy really and well worth being able to do. My dad taught me when I was about six years old (he was an electronics wiz!).
It is impossible for anything digital to sound analogue, because it isn't analogue!

I actually do own a solder iron as i was planning a cap replacement of some speakers I have in the shed.
You've inspired me to have a go.
    Not on this board though.

    Which end do I hold!?
    Cheers Geoff
