Default Hi from the Sunshine Coast of Australia

G'day from the Sunshine Coast of Australia.

Current set up includes Michell Gyrodec turntable with RB300 tonearm and Audio-Technica AT33 PTG II cartridge, Supratek Chenin valve pre-amp, Musical Fidelity A5 pre & power amp, Dynaudio Contour 1.3SE Monitors, Audio Aero valve CD player, Musical Fidelity A5.5 CD Player, Systemdek turntable.

I mainly listen to acoustic based alternative music, blues, jazz and soul. Most of my record collection is classical but the floor in my new house is very bouncy (it was prefabbed off site and constructed in a series of lifts by crane) so I am looking at building a new lounge with a very rigid floor, which will also become the main listening room.

I will be looking for advice on designing the room and upgrading my Michell Gyrodec.

Has anybody else got a Supratek valve amp?

    Cheers,

    Carl

    Hello Carl, welcome to AoS.

Nice neat and tidy system you have there. Supratek is new to me - is it an Australian brand?

Good luck with the new room. Keep us up to date on its progress.

    Enjoy the Forum

    Hello Carl. Welcome to AOS.

That's a sensibly chosen system you have there.

It is impossible for anything digital to sound analogue, because it isn't analogue!

I'm not exactly sure why the images are coming through upside down as they appear ok on my computer... and if anybody mentions it's because I'm from down under... 🙃

Love the way the system sits in the alcove and the speakers out front
