    I'm Andrew.

    Default Hello all!

    Hello all on TAS,

My name is Andrew, and I live in Rainham, Kent. Are any of you nearby?
I've just signed up today, but am familiar with the site from reading various threads on various topics over my years of hi fi interest. I thought it about time I joined in...

    Anyway, my current system is:
    PREAMP: Meridian 502
    POWER AMPS: 2 X QUAD 606 Mk.2 (bi-amped)
    SPEAKERS: Martin Logan Aerius i
    CD: Meridian 506.20
    TT: Very modded Planar 3
CARTRIDGE: Dynavector DV20x2 modded with Paratrace stylus and diamond cantilever
PHONO STAGE: ANT Kora 3T Ltd. Edition MM
    I/C's: DNM Solid Core v3
    SPEAKER CABLE: QED XT40
    MAINS LEADS: DIY Furutech/Wattgate/Silver Toughplug

As for music, well, that's either easy or tough! Main interest is 60s-70s jazz (LOVE Blue Note music, recording, artwork... Superb all round), classical LPs from charity shops...odd to some people I guess, but a goldmine of good stuff for pennies if you find good shops...
I listen to other stuff too: Kraftwerk, Lonnie Liston Smith, ECM stuff, Traffic, John Martyn, Ennio Morricone, etc. etc... This probably doesn't exactly convey my tastes, but I could go on! I'm open to finding new avenues to explore and am definitely open to suggestions.

Anyway, glad to make your acquaintance, and thanks for reading this, and hope you didn't find it TOO boring!!

    Happy listening,
    Andrew

    Hi Andrew
Welcome to AOS. Nice system you have there, I am also a keen fan of ECM label, listening to Dino Saluzzi this morning.

    Welcome to AoS Andrew.

Nice introduction, and not boring at all.

Yes - we love Blue Note and ECM as well (and Verve, Atlantic, CBS Jazz, ....)

    Enjoy the Forum

    Hi Andrew. Welcome to AOS.

Your amplification is an unusual choice, could be interesting and certainly won't be short of power.

You'll find a lot going on here, so feel free to join in and chat with everybody, it's a friendly place.

    Enjoy the forum,
    Geoff.
It is impossible for anything digital to sound analogue, because it isn't analogue!
