The arm is a VPI JMW 9T.

This is an internally damped tapered 9 inch unipivot tonearm.

I had a Techie along with many other turntables and my VPI sounds much better in all respects to me.the arm can be a bit of a fart on but once set it makes great music. I love the VPI.

This sits on some sorbathane feet and does a very good job of Isolating the turntable from any other vibration.

As you know the turntable is massively heavy itself with a huge sheet of thick steel bolted under the plinth. The cone and ball feet add further Isolation.
I managed to get one of the mouse mats and slipped it underneath the motor unit. However, i find that it slips around. Any suggestions?

It must have been a different mat to mine Steve as mine does not slip at all. It is very grippy?

    Was it this mat?
