If that's the copper coloured one it makes a great digital cable. Compared to my mates pricey cable and it wasn't a million miles away.

I exclusively use HDX1 interconnects in my system.

I find them to be an excellent choice that have no hidden nasties and do not seem to work as a tone control in the way other cables I have tried do.

Recent cables I tried include Chord Chameleon VEE3 which I found to have a very sharp top end and some Audioquest Quartz which were overly smooth and polite.

Definitely, recommended and mine have a very rich detailed bass response...

Why don't you just buy them new and direct from Mark... the basic HDX1 is only £58 for 1m for goodness sake... and if you don't like them Mark will take returns.. what have you got to loose?

I've just got a new HDX1 from Mark which is being used between the two ML's and it's performing just fine... I will be making my own XLR cables soon but for the time being the HDX1 is great

If you get a pair Shane I'd be interested to hear your opinion as the HD1X digital coax is the best I've had in my system.

    +1

    Couldn't agree more.

Put these in to a selection of cables and see what you think.

Personally MG HDX1s sound balanced with no fuss.

Can't say they are bloated on the bass. I've been using MG cables for over 10 years now and that's never been the case and I've used them in solid state and valve systems.

Sure I've tried lots of different cables but I always come back to MG.

With any cable, you need to give them a good amount of time to burn in and to then get used to them.

Mark is a lovely guy to deal with too.

    Hope that helps.
