It's a 6.5 billion solar mass black hole - so at least 64 bits, I reckon.

Just one of the simple things that impresses me is the reception of millimeter wavelength radio signals over the distance involved.

And it's one of the reasons the telescopes are in dry places as moisture interrupts the waves. They then have to wait for each site to have optimum weather conditions at the same time....

Apparently when they viewed the image on a 8K TV using an expensive HDMI cable it was just like being there at the live event.

Its gravity distorts the appearance of a relatively flat accretion disc into a complex halo.
