Default For sale: VTL Super Deluxe valve pre-amp, David Manley design

Legendary VTL Super Deluxe valve pre-amp from David Manley. Dual mono so uses 2x 12AX7, 2x 12AU7 and 2x 12AT7. ALL minor value capacitors replaced a while ago... Elna Silmic II, Nichicon KG and Mundorf MLytic used, with Nichicon Fine Gold in the phono stage, if memory serves me correctly.

Great integrated MM/MC phono stage, comes with an offboard power supply. All in excellent working order. Sound quality is on the warm side of neutral but laced with that energy and vitality that seems a hallmark of original Manley designs. £750 ono collected from Bedford, demo given (using my Tannoy Berkeleys, a wonderful match).

Lovely and scarce bit of kit at a good price. I have the 'Deluxe', which also sounds gorgeous.
It is impossible for anything digital to sound analogue, because it isn't analogue!

There's something magical about these Manley designs that evades a lot of valve pre's that I've heard, they really know how to communicate musically. Would have been quite happy to keep it but I also have three Concordant pre-amps, two of which are currently non-functional... I need an incentive to pull my finger out and get on with sorting them!

You'd pay that much just for a phono stage as good as the one in this pre-amp.
