Edifier speakers are quite good and you can buy them easily on Amazon. Maybe worth a look.

    Thanks guys for the suggestions.

Hadn’t heard of the Edifers before, looking them up they are blooming gorgeous things, very different from other active bookshelves, look quite high end...

    Sonus Faber anyone?

    Very well reviewed,

internal 24/192 Dac, Bluetooth, DSP, 3 separate Class D internal amps with Wima caps, these things look serious.
£100 over budget, but think I’ll go for these.
For a bedroom system mostly listening at night, so won’t be blasting them out or looking for deep sub bass.

    These’ll do nicely, job done.
Thanks Paul for the heads up on these.

How about a set of adams. I nearly bought a pair a7x but I think the smaller ones are just as well thought of. I think they are the a3x.

Pulled the trigger on the Edifers, love the looks and they seem to take the sound side of things seriously.
Looks a serious bit of kit.

    Cool.

Thanks for for all the suggestions, appreciated.

Picked up a set of these to sit them on, don’t want to have speaker stands in the bedroom so will be sitting on top of a cabinet.

Used in recording studio’s, supposed to work pretty well.

Just want to get the best out the speakers in a less than ideal environment, these should help.
