Default Recommend me a solid state amp of about 200 Watts output

I have 15" bass drivers working through a miniDSP digital sound processor. The sole duty of the amp is to drive just the bass drivers and in order to achieve effective crossovers etc the amp needs to be around about 200 watts into 8 ohms.

I am looking for a high quality amp, with excellent control of the drivers.

    Any recommendations?

Depends on budget but you could try the Hypex amplifiers. Their plate amps would also include DSP so you could retire your miniDSP or you could use their other units.

Yes, that type of amp has a high damping factor which is useful for this application.

I use a 3000w Behringer Inuke amp on my active OB’s.

Greg, you may not realise, but Bryston products are massively expensive here in the UK. The 4B3 retails at £5,749, which is $7,495 at today's exchange rate. That's a bit above a stated budget of £500. Even used examples of previous 4 series amps sell at well in to 4 figures.
