Default Impulse h6 revamped by RFC

For sale A lovely pair of H6s that I have cherished for a wee while. They are in great condition and have worked well in my set up.
Just over a year ago I sent them off to Paul at RFC as the original tweeter was showing signs of its age, unfortunately these are not available any more. Paul has upgraded a lot of these tweeters over the years and I was impressed by his previous work on fellow members speakers.
from Paul, "all done. I've used better spec components than on previous pairs and employed a revised fully discrete circuit topology rather than the simpler ground plane circuit. I've also completed work on the cabinets including tweeter conversion, tidying up the woodwork finish, fitting inserts (bonded) cutting and re-polishing the front paintwork, plugging the drilled holes for the outputs and forming them on the far side as per instructions and finishing of the ply boxes.
These have involved more work than previous conversions and external crossover versions but I think that the end result fully justifies this as they happen also to be the best sounding ones done to date.
I spent just over £850 getting them tip top.

Looking for something around £1000 for a cracking set of speakers

“Nothing discloses real character like the use of power. It is easy for the weak to be gentle. Most people can bear adversity. But if you wish to know what a man really is, give him power. This is the supreme test. It is the glory of Lincoln that, having almost absolute power, he never abused it, except on the side of mercy".

“You see these dictators on their pedestals, surrounded by the bayonets of their soldiers and the truncheons of their police ... yet in their hearts there is unspoken fear. They are afraid of words and thoughts: words spoken abroad, thoughts stirring at home -- all the more powerful because forbidden -- terrify them. A little mouse of thought appears in the room, and even the mightiest potentates are thrown into panic.”

ou might slip, you might slide, you might
Stumble and fall by the road side
But don't you ever let nobody drag your spirit down
Remember you're walking up to heaven

Don't let nobody turn you around
… Walk with the rich, walk with the poor
Learn from everyone, that's what life is for
And don't you let nobody drag your spirit down

Excellent speakers - one of the few horn-loaded speakers I can listen to for any length of time. GLWS

Oh dear I wish I had the space to accommodate these, particularly as Paul C has done his magic on them. Looks like a lovely finish. GLWS

Love my H6's and I'd say these sound great having been fettled by Paul.

Edward, these are really slender floor stander and not fussy over placement as the horn opening is in the base of the speaker.

John , Did you buy these from me ? I sold my pair , same colour and boxed to someone from Devon ,
I sold them to fund a pair of H2 Impulse's , Then the seller changed his mind and would not honour the deal , left me in the lurch
