Quite possibly these would get my vote for Best Sound at Show.
They just sounded clean and open and uncoloured and very transparent. Amazing, really.

Thank you for the pictures and for your very kind comments this was my room (108) and I can promise this was not what I intended to show at all my full Digital active system blew two Quad 405 at 09.20 on Sunday morning and the above is a second sytem I brought for the suitcase system competion . The whole thing (except for the stands) cost less than a £100 and it sound fun musical and far better than you had a right to expect . I got many positive comments from lots of visitors who stayed and listend to quite a few tracks . I loved it and it shows what you can do and achieve without spending a fortune.

    Hi Lawrence
No, somehow I managed to miss visiting your room. I would have liked to hear those Linaeums driven by a t-amp.
Looking at the show photos on the Wam I see there were at least 2 more rooms that I missed.
I'm a bit baffled by that!

For me the 90degree quads were fine, but they were in probably the worse room at the venue - between two other rooms with only sliding door partitions between them. However, even taking that into account they didn't sound anywhere near as good as the one in the crowded "Do it yourself" room.
