The Project Speed Box DS Strobo is a power supply used to control the speed of turntables. Compatible with a wide range of turntables; this electronic power supply gives precise control over the speed and works with all Pro-Ject turntables that have AC motor powered by mains supply. This tidy and sophisticated box adds the feature of automatic speed change to your turntable and gives you a new level of motor operation, resulting in better sound quality.
The Speed Box DS Strobo allows convenient switching between 33 1/3 and 45 RPM speeds without the need to removing the platter to reach the pulley. Speeds of 78 RMP can also be achieved by using additional Speed Box Pulley and moving the belt onto it. The + and - buttons give you the control over speed with an adjustment of 0.2% in 40 refined steps. A master reset button brings the Speed Box back to its base-level speed in an instant.
A stroboscopic light attachment is also included with the unit that allows you to connect your turntable and Speed Box with the Pro-Ject's Strobe-IT unit. The strobe light helps you in confirming that you are spinning at the exact speed.
The best feature of this Speed Box is that it helps in improving the sound quality motor performance of your turntable. It replaces the usually noisy mains signal with a clean 230W power signal that keeps interference away, resulting in silent and efficient motor performance.
