    Default Rogue Audio Sphinx II

For sale my Rogue Audio Sphinx II.

This is an excellent integrated amp with valve pre amplifier stage and Hypex power amplifier. Other features include a very good mm phono stage and fixed and variable pre outs if you want to bi amp or connect a subwoofer.

Condition is excellent - I can't find any marks on it and it's functionally perfect. Purchased by the original owner on the 8th May 2017 and I've had it for 8 months. Complete with manual and remote but not original box but I do have a suitable box if you need it posting.
Sound quality is first class, precise, powerful (100 watts into 8 ohms, 200 watts into 4 ohms) but never harsh. Bass is deep and very well controlled due to the high damping factor from the torroidal power supply. There are lots of very positive reviews on the web, some for the Mk I. E.g.

A new one will cost you £1495, I am asking £950 + postage for this less than 2 year old machine in excellent condition.
If anyone is interested I can take it to the Wam show this weekend. Please let me know via pm.

It is! I'm really in two minds about selling this as it really suits my Jordan Eikona speakers but I've got a cunning plan to go monoblocks with one each behind each speaker but then there's no point in going down that route unless I can better the sound quality of the Rogue and that will take some doing.

It does a fantastic job with Ian's speakers.

I've bought off Ian before and he's a good chap to deal with. Thumbs up from me.

... and agree it does a fantastic job with his speakers.

Managed to spend some time at the Wigwam show comparing various pre/power combinations with my Rogue. At the end of the day I prefer the Sphinx to anything I heard although the little Temple Audio monoblocks came close with the LDR pre that Alan Firebottle brought.
So I've scratched the change itch but decided to keep the Rogue Sphinx.

    NO LONGER FOR SALE.

A most excellent decision, and keeps me from being tempted.
