    Hi Richard

Welcome to AoS, tell what you listen to and a bit about your system. You will find lots of interesting stuff on AoS.
Listening is the act of aural discrimination and dissemination of sound, and accepting you get it wrong sometimes.

“Nothing discloses real character like the use of power. It is easy for the weak to be gentle. Most people can bear adversity. But if you wish to know what a man really is, give him power. This is the supreme test. It is the glory of Lincoln that, having almost absolute power, he never abused it, except on the side of mercy".

“You see these dictators on their pedestals, surrounded by the bayonets of their soldiers and the truncheons of their police ... yet in their hearts there is unspoken fear. They are afraid of words and thoughts: words spoken abroad, thoughts stirring at home -- all the more powerful because forbidden -- terrify them. A little mouse of thought appears in the room, and even the mightiest potentates are thrown into panic.”

"You don't have free will. You have the appearance of free will.”

“There's a war out there, old friend. A world war. And it's not about who's got the most bullets. It's about who controls the information. What we see and hear, how we work, what we think... it's all about the information!”

It is impossible for anything digital to sound analogue, because it isn't analogue!

    Hi Barry
I was looking to buy a Ikeda 9ts after seeing some good reviews for it,but i came across a dealer who had a ex-demo kai for sale with only a few hrs use on it.Made him a offer which he accepted.Have to say its the best cartridge i have heard its just fantastic.I was using a Van den hul grasshopper before which was very good, but it had to go because i changed my tonearm from a Origin live Conqueror to the Enterprise and the grasshopper just did not gel with the Enterprise.
Have had many cartridges, Audionote,Van den hul,Lyra,Koetsu and Dynavector. And this is by far the best it just does everything so right.

Well done - you were lucky there. The 'Kai' retails for €8,500!

I use an Ikeda 9C III in an Ikeda-modified Ortofon 309 12" arm. Another member here uses an Ikeda 9TT in the Ikeda 9" arm.
