I'm Alex.
Someone (was it Jerry?) sold one of these on the forum a while back.
Edit: yes it was. https://theartofsound.net/forum/show...hlight=linsley
Trying to think of a reason now why I didn't buy this off him for a play.
Yes, it was Jerry I'm pretty sure. He was rather impressed if I recall.
It is impossible for anything digital to sound analogue, because it isn't analogue!
Been meaning to post about this for a while- bought these before Christmas-

Can’t find a lot of info Shane but it’s possibly the same circuit, either that or a Pass design. It does have just one pair of output transistors per channel so is true Class A. Quoted as 10w in A, and I found elsewhere 60w in AB.
Really surprised how good these are. Took them to the last Yorkshire hi Fi club meet and they were well received. Really can’t fault them at the price, or even if they were a lot more. They do all the stuff that good Class A amps do- sweet treble, great soundstaging etc. They sound great driving the Zingalis.
“Music has always been a matter of energy to me, a question of fuel. Sentimental people call it inspiration, but what they really mean is fuel. I have always needed fuel. I am a serious consumer. On some nights I still believe that a car with the gas needle on empty can run about fifty more miles if you have the right music very loud on the radio”

Shane Lonergan.
I built the Lindsey Hood 10W class A design, which was published in Wireless World back in the late '60s. It was then replaced by the later 10W Nelson Jones class A design, also published in WW, and then finally with the Sugden 12.5W class A design. (Yes - I'm a bit of a Class A fan.)
The eBay offering looks to be well built, but I can't imagine Krell would be too pleased to see their name on the metalwork.
I would imagine the design sounds dated now. But the asking price is low enough to take a punt; as long a 10W is sufficient power for you.

I'm gone.
I'm fairly sure that was just a tongue in cheek Photoshop-produced image by someone on a US forum.
But I can understand why they did it - the amp's sound is remarkably like my old Krell KSA50 mk1, but with a bit more dynamic liveliness.
Probably the best pure class A tranny amp I have heard. But limited power at around 10wpc.
Not a dated sound at all, imo.
