Cool Hello from a Canadian klipsch fan

Thanks for the opportunity to join the forum.

I bought my first set of klipsch in 1998.
I bought the full original klipsch thx cinema set.

Since then I have had two pairs of klipsch la scala.
Two pair of klipsch heresy 1.

I just hooked up my new to me pair of klipsch RF5. They will pair with my klipsch KT-LCR as Center
    and surround. (5.1)
My current subwoofer is an Svs 20-39 pci.

I use a marantz sr 7009 AVR as a pre processor and power my speakers with an acurus a-125 x5 amplifier

Sources are a Sony turntable Apple TV and oppo bdp 93 for DVD and blue ray

Currently listening on tidal via Apple TV .

Displays are a 4K Visio 50” and a Panasonic ae3000 project on 96” fixed dalite screen.

I started this hobby focused on movies and surround sound. Now I’m looking to learn more about
Music and options to improve my music experience.

I saw a thread on the movie deadpool. I live pretty close to Regina Saskatchewan. There is a line in the movie about a city that rhymes with “fun place” and I can relate.

Lyle, welcome to AOS, from a fellow flatlander. I'm having a good chuckle about the Deadpool reference. Only Canadians get that joke, mostly those from the prairies. My wife and I both grew up in The Peg, and we nearly fell out of our seats when we heard that line!

    Enjoy the forum!

    Best,
    Svend

Hi Lyle, welcome to the forum.

Not being Canadian and not having seen the film I've no idea what that's all about.

Martin. In the colonies Regina is pronounced REE J eye na. Rhymes with a lady part.

    Svend thanks for the welcome.

I should have added my roots for music appreciation are country and rock from the 60’s
And 70’s. I am now finding more female vocalists in my listening (Celine Dionne Diana Krall)along with instrumental spa music.

I discovered the work of Yanni years ago. It’s my classical type guilty pleasure.

James Taylor live at the beacon was the first DVD I ever purchased and a replacement copy still gets played 20 years later.

The only items in my setup purchased new are the original klipsch thx and the Visio telly. I enjoy finding used gear at a fair bargain and fitting it into my system.
