Wife approval factor low; Sound quality (renewed cross-over and wiring) high!
Impress your friends! Frighten your neighbours?
Full ad may follow if my 'downsizing' continues.

I think they could cause domestic dis-harmony certainly in the low end when ornaments started vibrating off of shelves. They do look good.
Listening is the act of aural discrimination and dissemination of sound, and accepting you get it wrong sometimes.

Analog Inputs: Pro-Ject Signature 10 TT & arm, Benz Micro LP-S, Michel Cusis MC, Goldring 2500 and Ortofon Rondo Blue cartridges, Hitachi FT5500 mk2 Tuner

Digital:- Marantz SA-KI Pearl CD player, RaspberryPi/HifiBerry Digi+ Pro, Buffalo NAS Drive

Amplification:- AudioValve Sunilda phono stage, Krell KSP-7B pre-amp, Krell KSA-80 power amp

Output: Wilson Benesch Vector speakers, KLH Ultimate One Headphones

Cables: Tellurium Q Ultra Black II RCA & Chord Epic 2 RCA, various speaker leads, & links

I think I am nearing audio nirvana, but don’t tell anyone.

    Ornaments? Who he? (-:
You don't HAVE to use excessive volume after all.
There's a debate here - is there an optimum volume for different music? Voices should sound the same as life. etc.?
Jerry's comment on my Ocellias was that they (also) sounded great at LOW volume.

About to construct Zigmahornets -from ply, rather than existing (but lovely sounding!!)....polystyrene foam!
So, where ARE all you big speaker fans?

Actually, I thought your Ocellias sounded best [i.e. superb] at low volume. Not unrealistically quiet, just smaller scale music.

There does seem to be a sort of audiophile machismo syndrome [AMS in the medical journals] that says that if the music playback doesn't rearrange your internal organs then it isn't really audiophile.

Hmm......NOT just at low volume! Whilst not at the level of a certain Portishead resident we both know of, my wife complains of the bass reaching bathroom, two floors above!

As to the Leaks; while watching a film, sound playing through the Leaks, the picture window suddenly picked up the very low bass and made us jump! Not even loud (well, ..ish)

Wow! Norfolk sounds a bit far! But....worth it for rare beasts!
Can new members contact us oldies?
I could move my Calliopes upstairs.....or get on with (re) making these Zigmahornets.

Don't be afraid! Big might be best! Make a lovely full spectrum sound.
